A sleeping wedge is a simple device used to support your baby while they sleep or nap in their cot/moses basket. In the most basic terms it is a piece of  wedge shaped baby safe foam, covered with soft washable, removable baby safe cover. In most cases the lift provided by a wedge will give baby a better chance of settling not only with reflux, but other digestion or respiratory conditions or congestion. As baby lays on a wedge, their head and upper chest will be raised slightly. This elevation allows stomach fluids to stay down and ear, nose & throat fluids to drain away. it's not an absolute cure for reflux, but it's a tried and tested method of managing reflux and most importantly can reduce the amount of discomfort baby is feeling when laid down to sleep.

There are several types of baby wedge available on babyreflux. In fact every baby wedge looks to achieve the same goal, providing an incline for your baby’s sleeping area whether it be a cot/bed or moses basket. The incline achieved by the baby wedge should offer your baby a better sleeping position to help manage their reflux, congestion or earache.

Longer term the wedges can be used with older children by simply placing them under the child’s normal pillow.
