In addition, sleep positioners are fantastic for infants with cranial faults or imbalances.  If an infant has flatening on one side of the cranium they will continue to sleep on that side as that is where gravity will pull them.  Some Chiropractors advise parents to use wedges to prevent the imbalance from becoming permanent.  By the age of 3 children have almost an adult skull in terms of sutures, so very difficult to correct at that stage.
